Because it's only a taste. Like, take a bite & pass it down the table kind of thing. Otherwise you'd be 100% correct. The full dishes were a perfect meal sized portion. I'd be able to get through a salad & an entree & be full & happy. Also buzzed, because I really dug the rosé wine pictured. Weird, as I never like rosé.

I have. I'm not a fan of bagels in this city either, but that's a whole 'nother rant for a different time. To me, the perfect egg sandwich is always on the fresh kaiser roll. Some will go for the bagel, but it's not my thing. Too much bread interrupting the greasy goodness.

I'm seriously nuts about this. When I fly home to NY I always come back to Chicago with a dozen bagels, an entire pizza & a dozen garlic knots. All fresh from that morning — I've got the routine down pat after so many years. I've gotten some STRANGE looks from TSA at LaGuardia, but they all understand after it's explained. Once I get back here they all get packed up for freezer life. When I run out of my stock (currently: 4 bagels left, no pizza) it's time to plan another trip back east.

Like I said, nuts.

Have you tried the CBA (Chicago Bagel Authority)? Cream cheese and bacon on a bagel... mmmm, delicious.

We make an amazing gumbo around here. One of the perks of having an in-house Alabamian. You should come get some.
